Мi-12 (Homer - on the NATO classification) - the heaviest and load-lifting helicopter from ever constructed in the world. Distinctive feature is the lateral arrangement of screws which are set in motion by four engines GTD D-25VF, similar to Mi-6.
Мi-12 developed as the superheavy transport helicopter with load-carrying capacity more than 30 tons, for transportation of components of rockets.

On August, 6th 1969, Mi-12 has lifted cargo in 44205 kg on height of 2255 m, having established a world record of load-carrying capacity for helicopters which is not beaten till now.
